Winter Wren captures a fleeting winter moment through a single set of wren footprints pressed into snow. Rather than depicting the bird itself, the piece focuses on the quiet evidence it leaves behind. A brief mark of life, noticed in passing, and gone as snow shifts, falls, or melts. The image invites attention to what is often overlooked, the small stories that unfold quietly in place.

Created using an embossing process, the paper is carefully manipulated so the image is raised from the surface. This relief allows the print to hold the weight and impression of the bird’s movement, making the work as tactile as it is visual. Each print is embossed by hand, resulting in subtle variations that make every piece unique.

Winter Wren is the first release in the Meadowland collection, a monthly series centered on observation and intimate moments within a small ecosystem. Each print includes a protective mat for mailing, which may be used for framing or discarded. Prints are sent via regular post, includes a certificate of authenticity, and are editioned. Orders placed before the 15th of the release month will arrive by the end of that month. New prints in the Meadowland collection are released at the start of each month.
